Years ago, when my wife got tired of preparing food for Christmas Eve (after buying and wrapping presents and cleaning the house) We decided to go out for dinner. Since the only place open was a local Chinese restaurant, thats where we went. At that time it wasnt hard to get in. Now years later, you need to make a reservation two weeks in advance. Since our kids grew up with this tradition ( to them, a tradition; to us, a convenience) we continue to eat Chinese on Christmas eve. Now though, we do it in Columbus, Ohio, where my daughter and her family live. I hope when my grandkids grow up they continue the tradition with their families..
