Yellow tail black cockatoo damage to a 180mm dia tree to remove - TopicsExpress

Yellow tail black cockatoo damage to a 180mm dia tree to remove the Longicorn Beetle Larvae. This tree is probably now doomed and it makes you wonder if the energy expended by the cockatoo in removing the grub is reimbursed when they eat the grub. The exoskeleton of the Lavae was found nearby.... I have always read about hooking grubs and removing them from trees, but never succeeded in it... Has anyone here got any tips?
