Yep. Many Jews and African Americans (perhaps a few Jews among their ranks as well???) worked hard, smart, and very well together during the civil rights movement of 1960s. It was, and remains, an inspiring and stellar example of working together (despite potential for hardships grave consequences). They forged ahead together on the basis common interest and, for some, that which is right on moral and ethical grounds. There was a time when Jewish Americans experienced much more blatant, overtly discriminatory racism than today. Its still bad today for both groups, and others. We, Americans ALL, need to focus on our COMMON interests, and there is an abundance of critical ones, rather than quibbling and concentrating our energies, efforts, and rhetoric on our disagreements. Theres a relevant term for that People: MISDIRECTION. While focused on such things, complaining, and the like, matters common to 97%-99% of are going unresolved without hope of satisfactory resolution, 1%-3% of us enjoy the fruits of our labors and follies, -- UNLESS WE WISE UP, FOCUS ON COMMONALITY OF CRITICAL ISSUES OF THE DAY, SET ASIDE DISLIKES AND DISAGREEABLE DISAGREEMENTS, AND PULL TOGETHER. FRAGMENTED, WE RESOLVE LITTLE TO NOTHING, AND WE GET STUCK WITH WHAT WE MUTUALLY DO NOT WANT. Together we are strong, more powerful than those who prefer to dwell aristocratically high while metaphorically standing/stepping on, urinating, and defecating on the backs of the overwhelming majority of our citizenry. Together, WE can have EXACTLY (or darn near) what we want for our country, loved ones, and yes ... ourselves. We can CHOOSE to do that, we can CHOOSE to do that NOW, and DURING EVERY POLITICAL ELECTION! From here for a while out People, its way past time for ridding ourselves bipartisan balance at all levels of voting. Its BROKEN, INEFFECTIVE, AND HURTING US -- not helping. We need one majority in House, Senate, and Executive seats folks. I deplore that idea more than I do expressing it -- in writting and orally. However, and for at least a while, I see no other, more appealing AND viable alternative. Vote on the issues of course, but vote for candidates within one party that will, when not blocked, etc., do the most good for the greatest number of Americans. If most of us are elevated, analogous to a rising tide, it positively impacts and lifts us all. That doesnt matter to many of 1%-3% of us because their in life preservers, rafts, boats, yachts, and the like (one-percenters are land-bound or fly). The balance of everyone else is either weary and suffering impacts of treading water too long, with ever increasing, unfair, amoral, unethical, etc., loads heaped onto their backs, or bogged down in the mud, or dead from long-term overload impacts. Per person, when we unit on common ground over mutually shared interest, we are the most powerful citizens of ALL human civilizations -- ever! Where and when else in the history of humanity has a people been capable of doing politically and practically for themselves and their defendants to follow as much in breadth and depth as We the People ... of the currently fragmented USA? Think about that, but not too long please. Then, ..., DO STUFF TO UNIT US AND GET THINGS ON THE RIGHT TRACKS! Thats, for what its worth to yas, my humble 0.05¢ opinion.
