Yep, sounds about right. And its so sad that the general public has an accepting attitude about this. What starts as a little cat calling can become much more and much worse. Its not cute and no matter WHAT a female is wearing (Ive been covered head to toe in the dead of winter and still got harassed) its never acceptable to talk to her like you know her (as in intimately, vulgarly, etc). Its up to us to stop harassment. Parents, dont continue teaching your children that its just the way it is... Its NOT. Tell your daughters its not ok for someone to disrespect them and tell your sons thats not how you speak to females, ever. Women, call men out on their stupid behavior; who cares if he doesnt like it? He doesnt have to, but he has to respect. Ladies, dont tell your friends, daughters, nieces, etc to keep quiet, thats telling them they arent worth it (and they ARE) and further conveys the idea that not even their own (fellow females) will stand up for them. Gentlemen, be a role model of what a real man is, your sons and daughters are watching you.
