Yep, this is a tree full of goats. Possibly the strangest tourist attraction ever. As I understand it these goats sometime reach up to eat the nuts from these argane trees and climb onto some of the branches. This attracted the attention of some tourists so poor men in a rural area 100 miles outside of Marrakech decided to take it a step further and made little platforms on the trees out of sticks and put the goats in the trees and voila! Goat tree! When the tourists stop the men offer to take your picture and let you pet a baby lamb hoping to make some cash. We paid a guy to take our picture in front of the goat tree however he forgot to include the goat tree in the picture. I probably should have made clear that the reason we were taking the photo on that particular stretch of the highway was because of the tree he had just filled with goats.
