Yes, BUT... I recently read an article about what its like for a human being to work in an Amazon fulfillment center. One is constantly being monitored by CCTV; one must keep up a constant, rapid pace, with few-to-no breaks; there is an enormous amount of OT involved (I don t recall exactly how much)and one must walk 10-15 miles per day in the course of doing ones job. The article said that the work paid well; however their notion of good pay was in the range of $10-11/per hour (but the OT must add up to quite a bit, Id imagine). IOW, they are treating their human employees like robots; so perhaps it might be more-humane to not have human employees in the first place? And another thing: I do not know where these robotic order-fillers are manufactured, but if theyre made in the USA, then manufacturing robots and drones would probably pay a lot better than being an exhausted warehouse packer, and itd be better for the economy over all, IMO. Also, doing maintenance and repairs on the robots would be a high-paying, skilled job. BTW, if you want a good-paying, unskilled job, you might want to try Costco. In another article that I read just last week, it seems that Costco workers earn $45K/year PLUS they receive excellent benefits. YAAAAY, Costco...the anti-Walmart!
