Yes Dr. Ibrahim..this was the most recently identified species in the cacti and succulent groups..Lavrania haagenerae a species endemic to the dolomite cliffs in Namibia..it was a stupendous task to identify this species...it was presented to me first as Aloinopsis ..this latter belongs to Aizoaceae..ie the wrong family . Certainly among egyptian asclepiad collectors Lavrania is poorly known in comparison with its famous relative Hoodia gordonii (a south african asclepiad used world wide as a natural remedy for Weight loss or more specifically as an APPETTE SUPPRESSER)
