Yes God is angry with the wicked... However, let us also remember ...He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. and Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Luke 6:35-36 If we are warning sinners of hell, let us remember WHY we are doing so. May our motives first be a love of God and His ways then secondly be benevolence toward others... Even harsh rebukes can and should be motivated by benevolence. Preaching repentance and a message of perfection of heart and a life of holiness MUST be done from a love of God and others... If our hearts are not filled with the grief and sorrow over sin as our Lords heart is can we genuinely be speaking His words to others in a way the Holy Spirit can use to convict and deliver those who have chosen to be His enemies? Knowing He created each one of them to be His child but if they die in their sins they will be forever separated from Him? What great grief God must feel over their sin and rejection! Then knowing this, how much more should each one of us who name the name of the Lord and who truly love Him, commit ourselves to NEVER grieve His heart again as we did when we were sinners and rejected His love!
