Yes, Gracie Floyd is dead-on correct. Anderson County is losing its BEST employees to other counties, and for other important reasons, because of the stupidity of its current administration. As of now, Anderson County has lost an extremely well-qualified planner, Michael Forman, who is an outstanding person, as well, to the Greenville County Planning department. Anderson County is now down to ONE planner (who will be retiring soon), and it basically has NO planning department. The County has no money to adequately create one either, but will now likely hire a inexperienced college graduate for little pay, and teach him/her their political tactics, rather than allow them to plan for a better quality of life for county citizens. By the way, a Comprehensive Plan (created and updated by a planning department) is required by South Carolina law... They might want to listen to these words of Dirks Bentley....
