Yes…I am a Muslim. But at the same time…I am a Malaysian-Chinese too. So…I dont care if you want to say that Muslims greeting others during their festive season is haram… I WILL STILL GREET. I will still wish my Hindhu friends Happy Deepavali. I will still wish my Christian friends Merry Christmas. And I will still wish my Buddhist (and Chinese) friends Happy Chinese New Year. My niat (intention) is to wish them, because we are ALL Malaysians, living on the same soil, breathing the same air, fighting for the same country. We are all humans, and we are all brothers and sisters, just maybe different races and religions. We may celebrate different festivals, and have our own different beliefs...but wishing others to be well and wishing them happiness is NOT HARAM. And…guess what? As a Malaysian-Chinese….I WILL STILL CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR. YES…with my tudung on, with all my relatives and still sit with them on the same table and watch them play their mahjong and still go yumcha with them at the pasar. Its family traditions. BUT…READ. I am not eating non-halal food. I am not the one playing mahjong. I am not opening my aurat in front of non-mahram. There. You wanna unlike me for this? Go ahead. ***If you twist any of my words, I will ban you right away.***
