Yes I posted how in love with my recording trumpet. And the Schilke piece. Well... I just got my GR mouthpiece and I am stunned. Many of you have been here and seen my collection of mouthpieces. In the hundreds. But never have played a GR until yesterday. I cannot put it down. If my favorite mouthpiece in the past was a 7 out of 10. This GR is a 10+. My heavens. It is sooooo in tune. Takes much less effort and the tone is solid like nothing Ive experienced I am no young kid but this piece makes me feel 18 again. To play PP. And have the tone so perfectly centered without any hint of losing the center as I get softer and softer. Oh my. In my 67 years this is the best single piece of equipment I have ever owned. Will it do the same for everyone?? Probably not. But I bet a good majority would at least put it i. The top 2 or 3 pieces theyve ever played. Ok enough of this I have to go play some more.
