Yes !!!! Its EC at SJCE Mysore , I shouted in phone with excitement immediately the CET counselling was over at the Mangalore centre. My parents started bothering about me. , that was their simple question in Kundapur Kannada. I told them not to worry. I used to watch Telugu movies a lot , those days. I delivered one such dialogue which was more popular those days ಒಂದ್ ಸಾರಿ ಕಮಿಟ್ ಆದ್ರೆ ನನ್ ಮಾತು ನಾನೇ ಕೇಳಲ್ಲ!! . They agreed but they had a fear that i would be a victim of Home-sickness. U believe it or not, I am the perfect example of the saying In India , people first become engineers and then think of what to do. Till Second PU, I used to say that I was born to be a doctor without being aware of the difficulties that may appear to be so. Moreover I always had a wavering mind. The desire to be a doctor disappeared like Monsoon Rainfall. I mean, the thought was seasonal. After CET exams I suddenly had a thought to be an Engineer !!! But I was not knowing any engineering branch. Somebody told me EC ತಗೋ . I was Ok for it. The counselling executive said SJCE EC par lock kiya jaaye . ಇದರ ಜೊತೆ ನನ್ ಜೀವನ ಅನ್ನೋ ರಾಮಾಯಣ ದ ಬಾಲಕಾಂಡ ಸಮಾಪ್ತಿ. My cousin took me to Mysore for admission. I applied for college hostel but could not get a seat. This news came so late, meanwhile the college had started. I came to Mysore, a senior had told me that he would arrange accommodation for me. According to his suggestion, I met a 70 years old YOUNG man. After his ಪ್ರವಚನ I got a room. The first day of My engineering life, revealed me that the life would be challenging in Mysore. Everything was new i.e. People, language, weather everything. Moreover my desire to show that I m intelligent spoiled everything. I got a title CHATUR. I was not bothered about it, as I thought that CHATUR means intelligent. I think I had not talked to all my classmates till the end of first year, I was not knowing all of their names either. Suddenly after the first year, My life changed. I was not keen about the studies as before. I got the real essence of Engineering that a few hours of study before exams would be sufficient to get good marks. Our communication was good in the exam halls, If you know what I mean. First good experience of team work and strong friendship was to organize Film Mania, a quiz on Indian Films. I was feeling like KBCs Amitabh. The show got an overwhelming response. To continue with, the freshers party in third year added more happiness. My friends gave their support for whichever events i organized. I m really grateful to them. The best part of JCE life was to anchor for the college fest Jayciana 14, a historic one. Those were the days when I used to see people rocking on Jayciana stage, I wished I could do something like that. The dream came true finally in April 2014. It was really exciting to speak before more than Thousand people. The videos of Jayciana are really joyful to watch to remember the past days. One bad decision that I took was , to do internship in Bangalore. Of course, that gave me an exposure to corporate world and made me earn some money, but that snatched my final days joy. I had to travel to Bangalore every week which was tedious. But again it was an experience to remember. Finally, Those 4 years were just awesome !! The life in Mysore was just superb. Yesterday one of my friends parents said you can come to us anytime you visit Mysore. I have come across such gems in every single minute of my life in Mysore. What else a person like me need !! Certainly I led a ROYAL life in this PALACE city. Just a week to leave this Heritage City. I thought of sharing my golden moments. I m grateful to you for reading this. Yours Lovingly, Ramakrishna Ramu.
