Yes She is Your Daughter Yes she is your daughter, although it seems you have forgotten the fact. Her first date, first car, practices, sporting events, pageants, birthdays, prom & graduation. Always cheering her on and teaching her to do her best Teaching her to drive, hunt & fish and watching her excitement when she gets it right Helping her with homework, school projects & posters Teaching her how to manage money and balance a checkbook the excitement of her first job & paycheck Helping her dress up for Halloween or wrap Christmas presents. Seeing her face when she opens her birthday & Christmas gifts. Easter, New Years, July 4th, vacations to the beach, mountains & cruises Paying for cell phones, cars, gas money, clothes, dentist & doctor visits, braces, school supplies, makeup & hair supplies Staying up all night waiting for her fever to break or holding her hair out of her face while shes getting sick Wiping her tears away when she gets into a fight with her friends or boyfriend, assuring her she will be ok when the love of her life breaks her heart Helping her move out and worrying if she will be ok without you Watching her grow from a small little girl into a beautiful young woman, making you proud , showing you that you must have done a few things right Yes she is your daughter but who was there? It was ME!
