Yes Sir!!! I choose to live by choice, not chance, to be motivated, not manipulated, to be useful, not used, to make changes, not excuses, to excel, not compete. I choose self-esteem, not self-pity. I choose to listen to my inner voice, not to the random opinion of others. I choose to do the things that you wont, so I can continue to do the things that you cant. We all have to make choices in our lives. No one else can make these choices for you; it is you who decides. Others can try to persuade you. They can try to manipulate you into doing one thing or another, but they cannot MAKE you do anything. You choose how you will live your life. The problem is that many people simply dont take the time to choose wisely; they merely go with the flow and give very little thought to exactly how they will live their lives. While this in and of itself is a choice, it is not a choice that will lead to excellence. The warrior chooses to reflect on his principles and make conscious decisions about how he (or she) will live his life. He doesnt live randomly, but rather he lives with purpose. He chooses exactly what he will and will not do, and how he will live and respond to life. He lives his life by design, not by luck. He listens to his inner voice and trust in what it tells him. And he does what it takes, within his code of principles, to live the kind of life that he wants to live. The warrior lifestyle is not mindless nor easy; it is thoughtful and rewarding.
