Yes, Tom Selleck did drive through the streets of Manila many years ago. He walked and ran through some of them too. :) Years before he shot to worldwide fame in 1980 through the hit TV series Magnum P.I., Tom Selleck, who was then a young, struggling actor, made a low-budget horror movie in the Philippines called Daughters of Satan. It was filmed and released by United Artists in 1972 and notable for the fact that it was the first movie in Mr. Sellecks career where he played the lead role. The story is about an American (Selleck) who lives and works in the Philippines and married to a woman (Barra Grant) who was a witch in her past life. While at an art gallery one day, he sees an antique painting of a witches burning that supposedly took place in Manila 300 years earlier. Something attracts him to the painting that he makes the fateful decision of buying it and bringing it home to his wife. From there, life changes drastically for the once happily married couple. The movie also featured noted Filipino actors Vic Silayan and Vic Diaz and the legendary actress Paraluman in supporting roles. Various sights in and around Manila can be seen throughout the movie. Please be forewarned though that some scenes feature nudity. As for the movies overall quality, I leave it to you to form your own opinion. :)
