Yes, agree philosophically for girls, but, not actually - leaders dont boss people. The two are unrelated. Leaders grow people, boost people, support people. Leaders dont tell people what to do. Operational managers do for process execution tasks - yet bossing people de-motivates so they actually (should) delineate and clarify versus boss. Leaders however inspire people and compel them to action. Leaders rally people around a common vision. Leaders dont have to boss people and hence their voice sounds quite different. Bossing folks whether it be staff, friends a relationship quite frankly turns people off versus achieving their intrinsic buy-in. Girls should be mentored how to inspire people, and the many ways to lead, not how to tell people what to do. Teaching them that leading is bossing automatically limits their potential and puts them at a disadvantage. Bossing repels. Leading attracts buy-in and the cooperation the leader seeks.
