Yes, another night at The Lodge. This time in McDonough, GA. Im roughly 50 miles from my destination but had to land here for a couple of days since I cant move into my apartment till 8/7. More travel challenges today. Somewhere about 1/2 way here, my car started pulling hard right which required me to steer with both hands. At slower speeds, the steering wheel wobbles out of control. Taking my car to the shop in the morning. Hoping its just a belt separation within one of the front tires & nothing more significant. Sophie, my four-legged child got very anxious about 50 miles out from our destination. I forget sometimes shes not accustomed to long car rides like her sister, Savannah (RIP) was. Thursday she gets a dose of doggy Xanax before we depart. Aside from fatigue, my spirits are good & Im still not taking myself and/or circumstances too seriously. Were I tempted to make a big deal out of any of this It would be an act of maximum selfishness. I still cant get the image of a photo of Palestinians fleeing their homes with nothing but a single plastic bag in hand. Thats the situation that really upsets me along with the USs UN vote today.
