Yes as has long been suspected and now research has proved that if HIV+ and on ARVs and due to the meds have a low or an undetectable viral load, the chances of passing on HIV is effectively nil. Although this research has not finished yet, not until next year, it is pretty conclusive already, so they have published their findings even though it is not complete as the results are certain already.. However you will never be HIV- and HIV can always jumpback out of where it hides to bite either you or a partner if you do not strictly adhere to your meds. So it is not a reason not to disclose or to not use condoms except if trying to conceive, or if you and a long term negative partner make this informed choice between you. It is not carte blank to never use protection and not disclose to partners. Rather you should be doing both but also getting negative - and any positive – partners to read the research and be reassured.
