Yes, it is tragic to present armed forces as the social service organisation of BJP. They have been doing it for the last so many years, The problem is every country is proud of its army even though every one know the large scale corruption inside where a soldier has no right to speak in the name of nationalism and discipline. Yet, we all support in these hours of crisis that the forces did a great work but that can not take away the human rights violation under them. Yes, we all know when there is armed conflict, these forces who fight, can not really do that job. Whereever there is army, there is bound to happen all these violation. Therefore it is essential that we oppose militarisation process and support political solution of the problem. Indians have not seen the dangers of army getting too much involved with civil administration which destroy autonomy of these institutions and violate every right under the constitution. Armys job is to protect citizens of the country at the border and also bring law and order whenever civil administration fails. It also help maintaining law and order during the natural calamity and offer its expertise to rescue people. World over, armies do so to rescue their own people after all we the people send our children to armed forces. They have not come from another world, they are our people and it is their constitutional duties to serve but to politicise and publicise it obscenely must be condemned. Air force went on actually this Public Relation exercise and so was army too during the Uttarakhand operation. Our media need to come out of this joke and report the plight of the people and try to get them rescued rather than flying in the plane and actually disturbing them. Army top brass and that of airforce must resist temptation of being too much glorified by this paid media which has no time to go and report on the ground. They just shout. Beware of these loudspeakers. blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes/gray-areas/hyper-nationalism-can-wait-kashmiris-need-succour-first/
