Yes, it is truthful. Some church people and individuals supported Arroyo as form of patronage. The issue here is not even propriety. Radical individuals can and will do that in front of the Pope. The trouble is, Pres. Aquino is not telling the entire story. There are also many church people who went against Arroyo! But that is not the point, impartiality. The trouble is Pres. Aquino claimed that option for the poor is the advocacy of his family. Yet he did not mention Hacienda Luisita and the infamous Mendiola Massacre of 1987. He singled out the Church and like a true Pharisee even claimed he is holier than all the holy people inside Malacanang during his speech! What he did is not even Foucaults truth-telling! It is a simple megalomania of an isolated President whose credibility had plummeted beyond absolute zero!
