Yes it sounds great but there is a big issue. I currently have four cards of 128GB each. The idea of buying these expensive high capacity cards is not running out of memory till you get to your laptop and download your work. Also it is a big boon for those shooting lot of videos on DSLRs. However . . . The cards can and do get corrupted. During my recent trip to Galapagos, one of my 128 GB cards got corrupted. I had the entire days shooting from the 1DX on it. It was terrible. Later I managed to buy a disc rescue software online and it got me more files out of the card than the actual storage capacity of the card ! Yes its true. However many of the files were corrupted in their full size. Fortunately, the software gave me three copies of each file. One the raw file at about 25-28 MB each. The second a smaller file of about 12-15 mb and the third even smaller at about 1-2 Mb. The corrupted files were mostly in the largest size. I could get most of my files in the smaller size . . . along with hundreds of files which I had deleted long ago from my card. That is another thing to remember. DO NOT sell/give away your used cards without first re-formatting them. Anyone can use a rescue software to get some of your work in original :) I am so scared of losing large volumes of data. I have bought a number of 32 GB cards so that if at all a card gets corrupted, I lose less. By the way 4 32 gb cards cost less than one 128 gb card. It is just that having to change the card can actually mean you lose a shot or two which is not something you look forward to in the middle of a shoot of wildlife for example . . . Another caution - STAY away from cards other than sandisk !!
