Yes, it took some courage, but not as much as most believe. Im referring to my decision to give up my beautiful, large & comfy rent controlled apartment in Santa Monica, and become homeless. The courage aspect came from the thought of my possibly being delusional. And, of course the inherent dilemma is theres no way of knowing whether one is delusional or not. There was something I was delusional about for some years, and even though people close to me would try their best to shake me out of the belief I was holding on to, I took the position of them not being able to understand where I was coming from, because of their limited level of awareness. At that time I saw myself as being very advanced – and, even though I maintained a high degree of openness, I was blind to certain things – so thats what kept me on guard. Nonetheless, I had developed a measure of trust in spirit (God / The Universe). The trust came about from years of letting go and observing the results of the action. Over and over, I was served/rewarded by taking the perceived risk. The following was in my email box this morning from Terry Cole-Whittaker: There are unlimited beliefs, but for the most part these keep us depowered, afraid, and unaware of all of our divine, godlike powers and qualities. Knowing is not a belief, but a certainty which comes with the application of spiritual knowledge about who we are, our relationship with the Absolute, and how the material world/universe works. What can we count on to protect , maintain and bring us all manner of good fortune now and eternally? Its certainly not our beliefs, as these have been carefully constructed to downgrade the knowledge of who we are and our unlimited godlike powers and qualities including: genius, intuition, telepathy, creativity, love, bliss, eternity, multi-dimensionality, divine intelligence, and many others, but not what we have been taught to believe we are such as fearful, warlike, envious, greedy, miserly, dumb and powerless. The first and continual step is to rise in consciousness above the material world manifestation to the transcendental platform of our true self, the nature of every spirit/soul/us and that is eternity, consciousness, bliss, and love. Or else, we are tossed about on the sea of continual ups and downs like a roller coaster of fear and lack.
