Yes, its been a wet August! With a few days to go in the month, the official NWS cooperative observer near York has measured 11.46 for the month, making this the WETTEST AUGUST on record out of 121 years. Many other places are sitting on one of their 10-wettest months of August on record, including Hastings airport, which has climbed to 6th-place out of 120 years with 7.54. Most of our 30-county coverage area will likely end the month with somewhere between 5-8 of rain, or roughly 2 to 3 times that which normally falls in August.
