Yes, its going to get cold, but its nothing that the United States hasnt dealt with before. It is early for these temperatures but climate is the weather over time. I dont get worked up over relatively isolated major weather events. The media, however, is nuts. I mean it. Sensationalism yields viewers and viewers yield money. As you know by now, Im not big on sensationalizing weather because while I might find meteorology to be sensational as a science I do not find any benefit in panicking others. The best defense against adversity is knowledge and preparation. Now that Ive said that, here are the forecast temperatures through Friday. There is a slight chance of some snow showers toward the end of the work week but nothing substantial. Have a good evening.
