Yes, lets blame snow days on wimpy CPS kids. Because they have so much say regarding closings... Or anything to do with their education. I bet the author of this cute little op-ed, the self-described lawyer with three kids in the CPS, can easily afford to get his children safely to their schools in sub-zero temperatures. Sorry you missed your 9am water cooler fantasy football chat, bro. Meanwhile thousands of other less-fortunate CPS students, many victims of the 50+ school closings last year, have to travel much farther than they used to, whose families are likely having trouble paying for school lunches, let alone any kind of winter wear necessary to keep any living thing warm enough to survive this frozen wasteland of a city. Chicago Tribune, do better.
