Yes, my focus today is on the Subic Bay area and SBMA. Subic and Olongapo are my # 1 destination in all the Philippines and thats saying alot. My top 20 reasons are listed in no particular order: 1) The proximity to the ocean. 2) Western influence meets Asia. 3) US Navy appears from time to time. 4) Great Malls such as Harbor Point. 5) Delicious Restaurants 6) Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme 7) Diving 8) Nightlife 9) SBMA - (The old US Navy Base) - For all the reasons mentioned in the attached video on Subic. 10) Reliable transportation such as Taxis, Jeepneys, Trikes and Air con bases with Wifi. I have traveled around the PI (sometimes solo) using all of these forms of travel. 11) Airports of Clark and Manila in reasonably close proximity for domestic and international travel. 12) Great Barbers for your hair cut needs With close shaves. 13) Snorkling 14) Good professional masseuses at bargain prices. 15) Bars with plenty of Happy Hour - Its always happy hour at Baloy Beach and Barrio Barretto. 16) The Floating bars 17) Friendly people from Hotel staffs, restaurants and store keepers. Most address you as Sir or maam. 18) Excellent wood working. 19) Friendly expats make visitors feel at home. 20) Most people speak English as well as Tagalog.
