Yes, toothaches SUCK! However, I found out today that its not my teeth at all, but actually TMJ, which has typically gone away by mid-afternoon before. I guess Im getting old, haha. I also discovered that my National Health Insurance hasnt yet been transferred to my new company, Expert Communications (of which I am the CEO and single employee), meaning that I couldnt pick up my Rx or see the acupuncture doctor. I bought some ibuprofen over the counter, so the med situation is ok. I think the actual prescription calls for an anti-inflammatory as well. The dental appointment itself was rough trying to force my jaw into a non-crooked position for my upcoming permanent crown. I just want to eat like a normal human being, haha. I actually had to take my buffet lunch home and dice it on a cutting board before trying to choke it down almost without chewing. My first snack of the day was juice made from carrots and bananas from a friendly fast girl near my office whose English was great for the job. The rest of the day was Ritz crackers with peanut butter while I tried to keep my lateral jaw movements to a minimum. Im not sure what Ill eat next, but the pantry is not empty. So naturally, when anyone has a health problem, they try to diagnose themselves on the internet, hahahahaha. The suggestions I adopted include: 1. Ibuprofen 2. Massage the affected area and stretch until you feel pain 3. Fill a mug with very warm water and hold it to your face I will do acupuncture when I get my ID renewed, and tonight Im planning so use a headband to bind my chin to my face so that Im not sleeping all night with my mouth open. Its an experimental self-treatment that I thought of after waking up many times in awkward positions on the pillow. My dentist says Im grinding my teeth in the night, but I cant understand how thats possible, LOL. Ill keep you posted. Torch
