Yeshua said, You will know the tree by the fruit it bears. This applies to many situations aside from soul winning, which it is most noted for. It also applies to revelation of character. Fruits of the spirit are born out in our natures. There is also the saying that You will know your friends by how well they respond to you when a need is made known. Both morally and materially. An act of love done in secret is screamed by heaven from the mountain top. While an act of selfishness covered by loud talk God will not hear. My native ancestors said Setting an empty plate before a hungry guest and saying be fed, is the ultimate act of insult. The jury is still out on some of you.
