Yesterday - we loaded up - headed to Texarkana - for a mock run - making sure we - as a group - had enough stamina for a road trip tasked with finding a wedding dress! After about 20 dresses - and 2 shops - energy was still high - laughter going strong! Then one of these younguns - not sure which one - Ocie Hicks, Gayle, Katie Louise Franklin, Ember Feutral,and Amy - started the conversation about being hungry and ready to go eat - we are figuring they were slightly tired of tugging, pulling, and tying all of those dresses - and Ocie was getting tired of modeling! Mom Jane Hanes Kellermann, Vickie Warner Hicks, and I enjoyed sitting watching the fashion show! But we are always ready for some grub with the girls! Ocie - back in her every day clothes - and everyone telling the dress lady thank you - then - like a moment out of a movie - there it is... THE DRESS!!!! Ocie dropped her purse - goes back into the cramped sauna - a/k/a the dressing room! Mom, Vicki, and I knew immediately - this one was different! It got quiet - then the chattering began - it is perfect and you look beautiful were repeated many times! There is another outing planning - just to be sure - but I think our sweet Ocie may never try on another dress that gave us all chills and a made a group of talkative ladies - speechless! I know these two mamas and the grandmother there to experience my sons bride to be - finding her dress - waiting to be found sure did enjoy this cherished memory in the making!!!
