Yesterday 29th December A massive demonstration was held in Paris by the Jumma Diaspora France against the rape and murder of Umrasing Marma in Kaptai and communal attack by the Bengali settlers upon the indigenous people in Naniyachar Upazila, Rangamati, Bangladesh. The demonstration was organized by La Voix des Jumma ( Jumma Voice). A memorandum was submitted to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh through Bangladesh embassy, EU commissioner, External affairs ministry of France, Home Ministry and to the UNESCO. Despite of severe cold where the temperature was minus 5, around 100 Jumma and native French has participated spontaneously and demanded immediate punishment of the culprits as well as full implementation of CHT accord.
