Yesterday (3 AUG 13) I had the opportunity to be promoted to CW2 by LTC Halloren of TF Apocalypse; and honestly it has been a long journey, when I first joined I never thought of even making a career out of the Army. I just thought of serving my four years to pay for college and get out. Now looking back on my first deployment to Iraq 2003 and being extended for three additional months. I was on the brink of ETSing following my return from deployment in 2004, but one of the most influential NCO (SFC Harvey, Marrow) in my career took me under his wings and mentored and pushed me to strive to what I have become today. For that I just want to say thank you Harvey wherever you are today in the world. I would also like to thank my wife Darys, Smith for sticking it out with me through the good and bad times; and CW5 Hawkins, Danny, CW4 McCoy, Mike, CW4 Simms, Stacy-Ann, CW2 Anderson, Tiffany, and CW3 Crews, Marvin for entrusting in me with one of the finest tradition in the Army “The Quiet Professionals.”
