Yesterday Arcade Fires funeral turned 10 years old. Its a little surreal. At this point its less like an album and more like an old friend that you check in with once or twice a month, every month. Its one of the few albums that I enjoyed when I was 11 that I still enjoy now. It’s so hard to put into words what makes Funeral so special. It’s really more of an emotional experience than a musical one. It’s possibly the best album of the aught’s but more than that, it’s an album that is nearly universally acclaimed in a time where it is almost impossible for everyone to agree on something.
