Yesterday Australian BoxingInsider was nominated for the ALS Ice bucket Challenge, so before going and dumping a bucket of icy water over my head, I wanted to find out a little more, as to be honest I didnt really know a lot of what ALS even is. What I did find was alarming, despite being unrelated to Boxing I thought Id share here.. What I did find out is, that less then 27% of donations is actually used to fund research for ALS and a huge portion is used to fund salaries of their executives, with their CEO last year lodging a tax return for over $330,000.00 US and others over $200,000.00. So in saying this, Adam Height thank you for the nomination but I will not be partaking in this challenge, however will continue my fortnightly donations I make to Canteen and will continue my pursuit of a Charity Boxing fight with Australian Boxing Central where I will donate a further $500.00 to a charity of his choice! politicalears/blog/ice-bucket-fraud-als-foundation-admits-that-73-of-donations-are-not-used-for-als-research/?utm_content=bufferc41d8&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=buffer
