Yesterday Blue Springs ( city of) had their usual first Wednesday of the month at noon test of the tornado sirens... well it was 18 minutes late! Supposedly they fixed them and decided to do another trial. Well that trial was NOT seconds long it was way LONG and during a heavy thunder and lightening storm! Hearing the sirens go off sent us changing TV channels looking for weather updates. Not a single local channel had anything about tornadoes!! Kind of scary! Then the local news came on and we could see that there was nothing near us but a rainstorm!! Whew!!
