Yesterday Bob and I went to the hospital in Enterprise to see our good friend Willie Joe Flowers. Hes been fighting a long battle with cancer the past two or three years. When I met Willie Joe 8 years ago, he was going to all of the Civil War re-enactments with Bob. He and Bob were a real team. And when I came into the picture, the three of us had some great times together. Many nights of camping, Willie Joe and I would sit up late at night, talking around the campfire and confiding in each other about all kinds of things in our lives. Hes a good man and my heart really hurts to see what hes having to go through. Pray for Gods mercy, that Willie Joe wont suffer any longer than he has too. God bless you, Willie Joe. You will always be in my heart.
