Yesterday Bruce and I headed over to Centennial Park to Release. - TopicsExpress

Yesterday Bruce and I headed over to Centennial Park to Release. Receive. Resolve. by walking the labyrinth. I first walked the labyrinth in 2010 in New York while on retreat and I was hooked. It was one of the most profound experiences of my life and continues to be each time I walk it. Before we left home we brought to mind everything we wanted to release - habits, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, memories that dont serve us. You dont have to do this, you can just walk the labyrinth as a meditation, or for insight, for comfort, or for no reason at all - just because you can, we chose this new beginnings ritual this time. We happened to have the labyrinth all to ourselves so Bruce played a beautiful mantra on his phone as we walked - the music made the experience even more Divine. For the first time I felt compelled to leave the centre of the labyrinth quite quickly and saw this as a wonderful, supportive and affirming sign. We have so many amazing projects and opportunities that have been presented to us this year and while excited, I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed, however as I was moved to walk out of the centre all I felt was joyful, determined and supported. I also had a number of lightbulb moments as I walked toward the centre of the labyrinth, about myself (where and how I was sabotaging myself) and about my relationship to others and humanity in general. I found I was saying of course a few times and nodding as I was receiving. I noticed at one point there was a slight knowing smile on my face... After we finished the walk we found a lovely little spot to enjoy the picnic dinner we had brought with us, rounded off perfectly with the music of the timeless Boz Scaggs in the background. ... because great health is so much more than what we eat and how we move.
