Yesterday I am riding showing a new contractor the ropes of the cab hustle. As we approach an order at a grocery store, we observe two men scuffling. I think nothing of it so I jump out survey the scene, dont have to say anything my walking right up spoke volumes.So the one man was stealing and the other young man was trying to retrieve the merchandise. The one guy finally gave up the goods, dish soap and laundry detergent. I hop back in the cab to grab my fare, by my trainne is looking at me like he saw a ghost. Shocked at how it was a reflex to get involved and baffled by who I was going to help. I told him I wasnt necessarily going to help anyone, but was gone make sure it didnt get out of hand. Reminded him of my days as a community activist and told him I always police my community.We laugh when I told him the bro stealing wasnt a crackhead if he was stealing meat would have aided him, if manager from pick n save played top flight security with wrong man was gone assist him. I tell this story to highlight what I mean by Ghostriding I am here with yall but I am gone already. Fear as most people rationalize it is gone, what I fear most is being scared to get involved.#Ghostrider
