Yesterday I asked the following question which may be considered by some a trick question, however it is not my intent to be tricky. I am still doing research on the topic of prayer amongst todays believers. The question: What is the best answer to your prayer? I appreciate everyones thoughts and answers very much. I feel we often look at life and lifes events, both good and difficult, from the physical human perspective, rather than from the Spiritual perspective of God. We easily come to the ideal answer to prayer from our limited perspective and understanding not seeing either the whole picture, or the plan God has for our spiritual maturing. The simple, yet often complex, answer to the question; What is the best answer to your prayer?, should always be, whatever brings the most glory to God! Sometimes the reason of our praying is to get us out of a difficult circumstance, when at the same time Gods purpose is to give us spiritual growth as we go through that difficult circumstance. He may be glorified by delivering us from it, or He may be glorified by delivering us through it. We must find our satisfaction and joy in the answer that best fills His purpose in us and glory for Himself. This, I believe is what Jesus was moving us toward when He taught to pray: Thy will be done!
