Yesterday I attended a meeting hosted by the Coalition to End Homelessness It was attend by Kwakwakawakw Nation, Nuu-Chah-Nulth Nation and the Coast Salish Nation. The focus of the meeting was to bring the bands and the FN Homeless Community together. There were amazing moving moments, tears were shared and in the end we have committed group working towards working with the FN people who are homeless. Seems as on/off FN people, we are constantly putting out fires in our communities created by a government that is committed to keep in a state of chaos, but the love of our families the reality of FN Homelessness in Victoria moved towards working towards brings us all together. I am so proud to be a part of this working group, the FN homeless is such vulnerable group with so little support and I am honoured by the commitment of everyone at the table. One of the most moving moment was when a FN Homeless man thank everyone for their commitment and cried cause he would be sleeping the park tonight and many nights to come.
