Yesterday I caught the train from central Athens out to the airport. It was clean, fast and on time. It cost me €8. Im now on a First Capital Connect train. Two didnt show up, and the third was late. It is shabby and clearly hasnt been cleaned in months. There is a two week old newspaper stuffed beside my seat and the floor is smeared with sticky filth. Ive seen cleaner toilets at festivals. The ticket cost £16. #nationalshame
