Yesterday, I celebrated and enjoyed the first day of autumn by - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, I celebrated and enjoyed the first day of autumn by taking a drive with a good friend, to a tree nursery. I spoke with the owner the day before, and he had just what I wanted....or thought I did. After arriving to a quaint yellow barn, that is 132 yrs old, that oozed of character, I was taken aback by the many trees he had available. We had a delightful conversation with the owner, and spoke about the blues, Coltrane and Miles. He gave us tips on a great restaurant and mentioned a free jazz venue as well....but back to why I was there! My search was for a small specimen that wouldnt tower my house, nor yard. He showed me a Seiryu Japanese Maple, whose proportions would fit nicely, and mature height and spread would be ideal. I drove back today, after much research online and brought it home. Got a tremendous deal since it was late in the season, and now to dig the hole and start enjoying the view outside my window. But today is not the day for that, after hauling it out of my car, which was a heavy load at 9 by 5. I will choose the appropriate day to plant it, and as always, I say special prayers to those that are special, whenever I plant something. Ive had great success so far with everything thats been planted, and let God do the rest!
