Yesterday I competed at the 2014 CAPO Nationals here in Brisbane, the biggest powerlifting competition ever held in Australia. Adam, David and myself have all qualified for the GPA World Powerlifting Championships held in Sydney in November where the best lifters from all over the world will be competing. My lifts went like this: Bench 165/175/182.5kgs(miss) Deadlift 270/285/300kgs Missed my 182.5kg bench due to a technicality, not because I couldnt lift it. While I was disappointed with that, I was very happy to finish the day with a 300kg deadlift on my first attempt at lifting that weight. My girlfriend Brooke Ellis , my biggest support and motivator and my brother David Toomer have helped me immensely over the past 10 weeks while prepping for this comp, I cannot thank them enough. I also need to thank Adam Hockley as my training partner and Ben Whitehouse for giving me another level of self belief. Thank you to all my friends who have sent me a text or message over that last week, it is much appreciated, every bit of support helps. This video is my 182.5kg missed bench press attempt
