Yesterday I finished my 400-mile-ish trip down the San Joaquin - TopicsExpress

Yesterday I finished my 400-mile-ish trip down the San Joaquin River in California, which was named the most #endangeredriver in the country. This is the quick thing I wrote last night after finishing. Its mostly a big thank you to everyone (you!!) who followed this nutty adventure for three weeks. And its a call to action: Send CNN iReport a story about YOUR favorite river - can be one where you live, one you saw on vacation, whatever. The more we talk about rivers the closer well be to solving the water crisis. Thanks again to everyone here for literally being part of this story. Some people Id never met found this on social media and tracked me down on the river. Finishing the trip under the Golden Gate yesterday was magical -- the ships that emerge from the SF Bay fog like silent ghosts, the washing-machine water, the 35 mph winds, the towering red bridge that you can hear creaking and clanking under traffic. And a little bittersweet. Not a single drop of San Joaquin water made it there with me. This isnt the last youll hear from me about the trip. More to come.
