Yesterday, I gave a speech on Bill C-2, the Safer Communities Act. As I pointed out, a more apprioriate title would be “An Act to Make It Look Like Communities Will Be Made Safer By Spreading Drug Use to the Alleys, Parks, and Backyards of Our Cities While Simultaneously Undermining Public Health and Individuals Rights to Security of the Person and Life Itself”. This legislation is a thinly veiled attempt to arbitrarily shut down safe injection facilities and has a serious impact on our constitutional values. Watch below.
