Yesterday I had a most disappointing conversation with the parent - TopicsExpress

Yesterday I had a most disappointing conversation with the parent of a Junior. I was told that another parent had announced that the children from that family were told by me that they were too advanced for my coaching and that I had no more to give them. This was never said by me and it absolutely flies in the face of my personal credo that learning is for life. If any junior, their parents or mentors have heard such a thing about what I was supposed to have said, and felt slighted because it seemed to be a comment on the potential, or skill, or commitment of the other Juniors, know that it is a falsehood. If anyone has had their feelings hurt by such a statement, that is, the implication that somehow a person still needs coaching because they are not good enough, know that is also completely wrong. The best are always open to improvement and there is so much joy in learning to excel. Over the years, the quality of Junior Handling in this area has been very high. The credit for this goes to many people who support the kids, many coaches and the hard work of the Juniors who put years of effort into honing their skills. They never stop learning.
