Yesterday I had something in my eye. It bothered me for a couple hours. I spent a little time trying to cover it up, keep it closed. Little things became a lot bigger deal. Not having vision for lack of a better word would suck. My Dad met me to go fishing while I was suffering so. While we were out I got to thinking. He has gone with one eye since before I was born. For those of you that dont know him personally he joined the army amd lost it in Vietnam. I havent known him to let it slow him down. He never complained about it. If you didnt know it you wouldnt. He did everything he could to raise me right. He taught me how to play baseball, hunt and fish and now he is teaching me how to grow a garden. It never stops and neither does he. He has done more with one eye than a lot of people I know with two. I never really liked superman or spider man. I didnt need a fictional hero I have a real life one in my Dad. Happy Memorial Day!!
