Yesterday, I had the great honor of addressing the National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI) Executive Leadership Conference in Dallas, TX. It was outstanding gathering of Latina leaders who are making a difference in business, non-profit, and government sectors. Congratulations to NHLI President & CEO Ann Marquez and NHLI Board Chair Cecelia Espinoza. It was also great to see former NHLI President Marisa Rivera inspiring the attendees. I shared with the conference that one of my top goals as President & CEO of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is to promote and advocate for more Hispanic women to serve in executive level and board level positions at our Fortune 500 companies and other publicly traded companies. Unfortunately, less than 1% of all available Fortune 500 board seats are held by Latinas which is a huge underrepresentation. I shared with the attendees that Im on a mission to increase Latina executive representation. I finished my remarks by inspiring the attendees to Fear Not Your Ambition and to aim high and dream big in their goals. An empowering NHLI Conference day in Dallas!!!
