Yesterday I had the pleasure of having lunch with a vibrant, glowing, deliriously happy, same gender, couple-in-love. It makes me proud that I live in a city where, for the most part, you can be black, white, gay, straight, young, old, married or single and no one makes it their business to assess a value to your lifestyle. Life is really short, boys and girls. If you find someone or something that makes you happy - man, woman, vegetable, mineral or orange cat - grab onto it with both hands and dont let go. If youre lucky enough to find someone or something that completes you, dont worry about everyone else. I guarantee you that more good things were accomplished through love and patience than contempt. I feel blessed to spend my life with someone who completes me. We may not be doing everything right and in the right order, but I am happy. I can only hope that the people who love me, in turn, appreciate him for the joy he brings me.
