Yesterday I laid my dear papa to rest. Although it was a very sad and emotional occasion, the setting was glorious. The service was held at a beautiful cathedral-like church, against the backdrop of the glistening Mediterranean sea - truly poetic. Ave Maria by Claudio Villa (dads favourite Italian artist), was being played as we entered the church. Father Stephen was a true delight and we are very grateful for the lovely tribute. The choir sang beautifully and also some of his favourite music was played, including Smile by Nat King Cole which was very fitting for him. My brother Mario delivered a beautiful speech on our behalf. Its the end of an era but I’m sure dads looking down on us. I think he would have been very proud of his send off! Thank you immensely to everybody for your enormous support and love. xxxxx
