Yesterday I learned a Valuable lesson today. This should be awake up call to all of us baby boomers that have parents that are still alive and for ourselves. My poor mother was placed in a nursing home today. She was in the hospital and can no longer stay at home because she needs 24/7 care. The Hospital ask where we would like to place Mom. When I told them the first questions they ask were does she have money or property. Being that she doesnt she has to go to a sub-standard home when she was in a hospital that has a extended care facility with a open bed. Long story short, no matter how much or how hard you worked all your life, if your not willing to give the state your money or house when you need special care your not going to get good care. There is a chance that after Medicaid takes over that we can get her moved, but in the mean time they treat you like a just a piece of meat. This has made me try and change things the way our seniors are treated. They helped build this country to what it is today. Its time we let law makers that will be set for life, what is happening to the people that pay their salary, Please write your congressmen, and any government officials you can Thanks Sam
